How is Nest Ready different from a standard PDF-to-DXF converter?
A converter attempts to recreate everything on the page as CAD geometry, including dimensions, text and borders. Nest Ready identifies the manufacturable part, removes the surrounding drawing information and exports only the geometry needed for manufacture.
What does Nest Ready remove from an engineering drawing?
It is designed to separate the part geometry from drawing furniture such as dimensions, annotations, text, centre lines, borders and title blocks.
What geometry is included in the exported DXF?
The output focuses on the geometry required to manufacture the part, including the outer profile and detected internal features such as holes, slots and cut-outs.
Can I review the geometry before downloading it?
Yes. The extracted profile is presented for review before the final DXF is exported.
Can Nest Ready be used for laser, waterjet and plasma cutting workflows?
Nest Ready is intended to produce geometry suitable for downstream CAD/CAM and nesting workflows used in processes such as laser, waterjet and plasma cutting.
What counts as a part?
A part is a single manufacturable profile extracted from a drawing. Usage is counted by parts, not PDF pages: a part is charged the first time you download its DXF, and downloading it again is free. A part from a scan, photo or sketch counts as 5 parts: it takes a vision model to read and more checking.
Do rejected parts use my monthly allowance?
No. You pay only for the parts you download. A part you reject in review is never downloaded, so it is never charged.
